SHINee WORLD VI: PERFECT ILLUMINATION is the sixth concert tour by SHINee. It opened with concerts in Seoul in June 2023, and had further shows in Japan starting from September.
Background[]
At SHINee's 15th anniversary fan meeting, Taemin announced that they would hold a concert at KSPO Dome in Seoul from June 23 to 25.[1] On May 31, the concert was officially confirmed by SM Entertainment. It was SHINee's first in-person concert in South Korea since 2016 and first concert since 2021. Tickets went on sale for members of SHINee's fan club on June 5 and were opened to the general public on June 8.[2] The last day of the show was livestreamed through Beyond Live and was watched by viewers in 94 countries. SHINee premiered songs from their new studio album HARD at the concerts.[3] Footage and behind the scenes interviews from the concerts were included in SHINee's 15th anniversary film, MY SHINee WORLD.[4]
On June 26, it was announced that SHINee would perform further shows in Japan, starting from September.[5] Extra seating with restricted views of the stage was opened up for the Saitama shows.[6] The Japan leg will conclude with two performances at Tokyo Dome.[7] Onew was unable to participate in both the Seoul and Japan shows due to health issues.[8] On December 13, it was announced that SHINee would hold concerts in Singapore and Hong Kong in March 2024.[9] On April 13, 2024, it was announced that SHINee would hold encore concerts in Incheon in May to mark their 16th anniversary, featuring Onew's return from hiatus.[10] The Seoul performance was released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 3, 2024,[11] and the Tokyo Dome performance was released on DVD & Blu-ray on June 19, 2024.[12]
